policies and fees
I offer a 45 minute no fee first session, so that we can meet in person, explore the issues you might be wanting to discuss in therapy and see if it feels like a fit to work together. I will give you a candid assessment about whether I think I can be helpful to you, and it is important that our connection feel comfortable and safe to you.
Fees and Billing
I see individual clients, couples, groups, and families for approximately 55 minutes per session. Therapy sessions are $120, regardless of how many people are in the room. However, it is my strong belief that therapy should be accessible to everyone. If my fee of $120 presents a significant financial hardship for you, I offer income relevant options. Please inquire.
I accept payment by cash, check or credit card, or via Venmo. OR you can pay online before your appointment by clicking on the "Pay Online" tab above. If you pay online your payment must be made by the morning of our scheduled appointment. There is an $8 fee added to online payments, to cover the credit card fees that are charged to me for this service.
I do not accept insurance, but I can provide an invoice to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. It's wise to confirm reimbursement with your insurance provider before you start therapy.
You Own Your Therapy
Your participation in terms of keeping me informed about whether we are going at a suitable pace, and whether the therapy is meeting your needs and preferences is important to our work together. You have every right to request a change in what we do, and to request that we have a discussion about whether the way we are working together is feeling right. It is very important that you feel comfortable with me and that you have personal agency in the therapy process. It is your therapy!
Making an Appointment
Appointments can be made by emailing me at email@example.com or calling my confidential voicemail at (206) 456-4203. Once we settle into a regularly scheduled appointment time, that time is reserved for you. Cancelled appointments require one week's notice.
If you have any questions about the information on this page or about getting started in therapy, feel free to contact me. I am happy to help in any way I can.
I look forward to meeting with you!
